proper tone by saying that you’ve come across some information that has you concerned about your future.
You’d like to take some time to sit down and discuss it. Assume the best. Maintain a positive tone.
- Have you given any thought to what will happen to us financially if we need to pay for long-term care
for our parents or each other?
- What will be the toll on our personal finances?
- Does our current insurance/medicare/medicaid cover caregiving costs?
- Should we get long-term care insurance?
- Where can we find information about what long-term care will cost and what our unreimbursed
expenses will be?
- Should we establish a savings or investment account to help pay for unreimbursed caregiving costs?
- Do you have some other ideas about how we might plan for the long-term care of our parents and,
eventualy, ourselves?
